LANNING, Robert Thomas - Age 78, of Montrose, died Saturday, January 23, 2016. Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM Friday, January 29, 2016 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Linden Chapel, 209 E. Broad St, Linden. Burial in Fairview Cemetery, Linden. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Thursday from 5-9 PM and Friday from 12:00 PM until the time of the service. Those desiring may make contributions to the American Cancer Society or Heartland Hospice. Robert was born March 2, 1937 in Linden, the son of William Thomas and Frances Louise (Feley) Lanning. He was a 1955 graduate of Fenton High School. He had resided in Montrose for the past 20 years, coming from Fenton. Surviving are: brothers, Arnold and wife Sandra Lanning of Burton and Larry and wife Belinda Lanning of Flushing; sister-in-law, Sue Lanning of Linden; and several nieces and nephews.
