KUEHL, Robert Lincoln - was born on July 21, 1937 in Toledo, Ohio to Albert Christian and Grace Lincoln Kuehl. Robert completed this Life's Journey and sailed into the Lords eternal safe harbor on September 3, 2016. Services will be held at a later date. Robert was preceded in death by his parents Albert and Grace, nephew Greg Holley and numerous beloved pets. Robert is survived by his wife Sharon of 32 years and her daughter Pat Hutton and son Scott Harrison of Michigan, son Shawn Holloway and daughter Shannon Richie of Texas, daughter Jillay Ruppel and son Shane Kuehl of Wisconsin and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren as well as his sister, Priscilla Fitzgerald and nephew, Mark Holley of Michigan. Robert served more than two decades in the United States Navy. Robert served two tours of duty in Vietnam as an aircrew man with the Search and Rescue squadron, Robert earned many distinguished honors including the Distinguished Cross for his part in rescuing a downed pilot in North Vietnam. Upon retiring from the military Robert spent time serving other discharged military veterans with the psychological effects of War. Robert was known as Bob to his family and friends. Bob loved to be on the water fishing, in the woods hunting or playing golf especially with his favorite girl, Sharon. Bob turned his love and knowledge of the outdoors into second career as a store manager for Dunhams sporting goods that spanned over two decades. Bob loved spending time with his family. Bob's most recent hobby consisted of building bird house and balsa wood model helicopters with military themes. Bob was most proud of his recent acceptance of Christ, allowing Christ to be in total control of his life. Bob went home to be with the Lord very peaceful with his wife Sharon at his side. He will be missed by all.
