Robert J. Kubik

KUBIK, Robert J. - Age 69, of Grand Blanc, died Sunday, September 7, 2003. Mr. Kubik was born in Flint, February 8, 1934, the son of William P. and Jean (Jablonski) Kubik. He had lived his entire life in the area. He had been employed for many years at the Eastown Bakery, and later managed the bakery department for area Meijer stores for 17 years. He retired in 1997. Mr. Kubik enjoyed bowling, shufflebard and pool, but most of all enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. Surviving are his four children, Gary Kubik and wife Melinda of Mt. Morris, David Kubik and wife Tina of Lebanon Junction, KY, Jeff Kubik of Grand Blanc, and Michele Lockwood of Davison. There are 11 grandchildren who will miss their grandpa 'Bobby': Kaylee, Lindsay, David II, Bradley, Jacob, Lauren, Samantha, Chad, Jaclyn, Taylor and Ty. Also surviving are three brothers, Fred Kubik and wife Dawn, Tom Kubik and wife Jeanie, and Jim Kubik. Many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, September 12, 2003 at the Sharp Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Rd. (just south of Hill Rd.), Rev. Steve Anderson will officiate and burial will follow in Crestwood Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6-9 p.m. Wednesday, 1-4 and 6-9 p.m. Thursday.
