Robert Justin Kubiak

KUBIAK, Robert Justin, age 81, of Fenton, died Tuesday, June 21, 2005 at Crestmont Healthcare Center. Funeral Service will be held 11 AM Thursday, June 23, 2005 at Linden Presbyterian Church, 119 W. Broad St. Linden. Rev. Parker Smith officiating. Interment in Great Lakes National Cemetery at a later date. Veteran Honors will be performed under the auspices of Fenton V.F.W.Curtis -Wolverton Post # 3243. Visitation will be Wednesday 2-5 and 7-9PM at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Rd. Fenton. Robert was born June 16, 1924 in Detroit, the son of Joseph S. and Belle M. (Himnick) Kubiak. He married Barbara A. Brida and she preceded him in death. He then married Mary Ellen Sczodronski and she survives him. Robert lived in the Fenton area for the last 15 years, coming from Detroit, where he was a graduate of Cass Tech. He retired from the City of Detroit as a Draftsman in the Streets and Traffic Department. Robert was a veteran of WWII in the U.S. Army, a member of Fenton V.F.W. Curtis-Wolverton Post #3243, a member of Linden Presbyterian Church, and loved to bowl. Surviving are his wife, Mary Ellen; children, Martin and wife Becky Kubiak, Daniel Kubiak, Ed and wife Sharon Sczodronski, Charlene and husband Ed Heble, Kevin and wife Holly Sczodronski, Bruce and wife Terri Sczodronski; grandchildren, Justin, Emily, Andrew, Hannah, Aaron, Mitchell, Nicholas, Tyler, Erin, Joe, Kay, Carly, Jay, Rick, Kimberly.
