KARBOWSKI, Robert Joseph  Age 75, of Swartz Creek, went to meet his Lord on Wednesday, May 25, 2005 at Genesys Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be held 2:30 PM Saturday, May 28, 2005 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek with Minister Raymond Marquez officiating. Entombment will follow at Flint Memorial Park, Mt. Morris. Visitation will be from 5-8 PM Friday and 1 PM until the time of service Saturday at the funeral home. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to Monte de Sion Church. Robert was born May 1, 1930 in Bay City, the son of Edward J. and Angeline (Halasinski) Karbowski. Robert was a graduate of Flint Central High School and served in the Army Air Corp during World War II. He married Leslie Argentina on June 8, 1990 in Honduras and had resided in Swartz Creek since 1994. Robert retired from G.M. Truck Assembly and was a member of the U.A.W. He is a Past City Council Member of the City of Flint 9th Ward and was very active in the Boy Scouts and Big Brothers. Surviving are: wife, Leslie; three children, Beverly Butler (Walter Spencer) of Atlanta, MI, Jan (Brian) Toler, Steven Karbowski, all of Port Huron; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; eight brothers and sisters.
