Robert Franklin Jones

JONES, Robert Franklin - Of Swartz Creek; age 64, Went home to be with the Lord on September 28, 2007 at his residence. Beloved husband of Sharon Jones (nee Roush) for 41 years. Loving father of Janelle (Gordon) Birchard and Craig Jones. Beloved son of Naomi Jones and the late Boyd Jones. Dearest grandfather of Danielle, Josiah and Gideon Birchard. Brother of Fred (Martha) Jones and Charles (Rita) Jones, Brother in law of Linda (George) Sujdak and Vicki (Norman) Butts. Also survived by several nieces and nephews and special friends Richard and Barbara Bolander. Mr. Jones retired from the Michigan Dept. of Transportation as a licensed land surveyor. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army-Vietnam Era and was a member of Pathway Community Church. After retirement he worked at many local funeral homes and was also employed with Paul Campbell Professional Services. Funeral Service Wednesday, October 3, 2007, 11 a.m. at Sharp Funeral Homes-Miller Road Chapel (8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek). The family will receive friends Monday 5-9 p.m. and Tuesday 2-9 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to Pathway Community Church, envelopes are available at the funeral home.
