Robert Martin

MARTIN, Robert John - age 94, of Fenton, passed away Thursday, August 20, 2020. Graveside Services will be held 11 AM Thursday, August 27 at St. John Cemetery, Fenton. Fr. David Harvey officiating. Those desiring may make contributions to the Michigan Nature Association.  Robert was born July 20, 1926 in Detroit, the son of Edward J. and Collette (Dauner) Martin.  He was a veteran of the US Navy. John received his PhD in Electrical Engineering at U of M.  He taught at Ferris State College for many years.  John planted White Pines and built up what is now the Dauner Nature Sanctuary in Fenton.  He is survived by: his sister, Marion Martin; niece, Sandra Kelly Theusch; and nephew, Robert P. Kelly.  John was preceded in death by: his parents; brother, Edward Martin; and 2 sisters, Margaret Martin and Marjorie Martin Kelly. Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuenralhomes.com
