Robert Emery Hunt

HUNT, Robert Emery, age 88, of St. Petersburg FL. formerly of Flint, died Tuesday, February 19, 2013 at Bay Pines VA Healthcare System in Bay Pines, Florida. A Service will be held 11AM Saturday March 2, 2013 at St. Vincent DePaul Catholic Church, 168 East Wright Ave., Shepherd, MI. Private burial at Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly, Michigan at a later date. Arrangements provided by Sharp Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Rd., Flint. Mr. Hunt was born November 21, 1924 in South Haven Michigan the son of the late Robert R. and Orpha R. (Clawson) Hunt. Robert was an avid golfer, bowler, book reader, shopper and loved to watch sports on T.V. He served his country in the Army during WWII, and spend time as a P.O.W. in the Nazi German Camp. Mr. Hunt retired from Genesee Merchants Bank with 35 years of service. Surviving are; daughter, Pamela (David) Kusbel of Shepherd, MI; step-children, Jack (Shirley) McLaren of Montrose, Cheryl (Ron) Clem of Saginaw, Karen McLaren of Kentucky, Scott Mitchell of Flint, Chris Mitchell of Arkansas; grandchildren, Renee (Lorenzo) Garcia of Saginaw, Laurie Davenport of Saginaw, Shaun (Jessica) Davenport of Shepherd, Jennifer Davenport of Lansing, step- grandchildren, Dan (Becky) Kusbel of Mt. Pleasant, Juli Kusbel of Cadillac; 15 great-grandchildren;3 great great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death also by his wife Winoa Harvey-Hunt in 1992, wife Loa Louise McLaren-Hunt, brothers, Ray and Earl; sister Ruth; Stepson Butch McLaren; step-grandson, Daryl Kusbel.
