HIMELHOCH, Robert Lloyd "Bob" - age 79, of Flint, died Tuesday, March 25, 2008. Services will be held 1 PM Thursday, March 27, 2008 at Congregation Beth Israel, 5240 Calkins Rd., Flint with Mr. Leonard Meizlish officiating. Interment will follow at Machpelah Cemetery. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to Congregation Beth Israel, the American Heart Association or National Multiple Sclerosis Society. Mr. Himelhoch was born September 21, 1928 in Flint, the son of Aaron and Fanny (Weinberg) Himelhoch. He was a graduate of Flint Northern High School and received a bachelors and masters degree from University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. Mr. Himelhoch retired from Flint Public Schools where he was a long-time principal and teacher. He belonged to many professional and religious organizations and was an avid golfer. Mr. Himelhoch always put family first in his life and was loved by many friends, students and staff. He will be greatly missed by: wife, Sandra of Flint; three children, Faye Valencia, Alan Himelhoch and wife, Sharon, Gail Johnson and husband, Steven; five grandchildren, Alexandra and Monica Valencia, Casey Johnson, Jill and Ava Himelhoch; sister, Betty and husband, Fred Germer of FL; brother, Charles Himelhoch and wife, Sanda; many cousins, nieces and nephews.
