Robert David HALL, SR.

HALL, Robert D. Sr. - Age 93, of Grand Blanc, formerly of Gaines, passed away Monday, June 29, 2009 at Genesys Hospice Care Center. Funeral Services will be 11AM Thursday, July 2, 2009 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek. Pastor R. DeWeerd Smith will officiate. Interment to follow at Oakwood Cemetery, Gaines. Robert was born November 26, 1915 in Flushing Township, the son of the late Titus and Inez (White) Hall. He married Anna Nagy on October 16, 1940 in Toledo, Ohio and she preceded him in death on February 19, 2000. On January 15, 2001 Robert married Nora Hart and they enjoyed a wonderful life together. Robert was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving during WWII. He was employed by General Motors for 32 years as an inspector in parts and service until his retirement in 1973. Robert enjoyed square dancing, golf and spending time with his family. Surviving are his wife, Nora of Grand Blanc; 2 sons, Robert D. Hall (Charla) of St. Helen, Dennis Hall (Nola) of Grand Blanc; 3 grandchildren, Christine Hall of Holly, Robert D. Hall III (Heather) of Hudson, Rebecca Borton (Joe) of Tipton; 5 great-grandchildren, Robert D. Hall IV, Aislin, Zeke, Justin and Joanna; 7 step-children, Gary Hart (Rhonna) of Davison, Terry Hart (Darlene) of Lake Orion, Dennis Hart (Mary Ann) of Florida, Sandy Smith (Paul) of Lake Orion, John Hart (Hazel) of Lake Orion, David Hart (Debbie) of Grand Blanc, Karen Kitchen (Donnie) of Grand Blanc; numerous nephews, nieces and cousins.
