Robert Jeffery "Bob" Groth

GROTH, Robert Jeffery "Bob" - Age 75, of Fenton, passed away Monday, September 16, 2024. Funeral services will be held 12:00 PM Thursday, September 19, 2024 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Road, Fenton (The service will be lived streamed and can be viewed below the obituary). Pastor Jeff Jaggers officiating. Burial immediately following at 1:30 PM in Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Wednesday from 4-8 PM and Thursday from 11:00 AM until the time of the service. Those desiring may make contributions to the D.V.A. or a veteran's charity of your choice. 

Bob was born September 14, 1949 in Saginaw, the son of Robert Paul and Bette Jean (Brandt) Groth. He was a 1967 graduate of Fenton High School. He was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corp, serving during the Vietnam Era. He married Judy "Charlene" Harris October 23, 1971, at Fenton United Method Church in Fenton. Bob had resided in Fenton for the past 72 years. He retired from Jack Cooper Transport as Supervisor of Transportation. He was a member of Fenton United Methodist Church. He enjoyed farming, restoring antique tractors, camping, hunting and fishing. 

Surviving are: his wife, Charlene; sons, Robert Groth of Fenton and Michael Groth of Fenton; grandchildren, Celeste, Robert, Jacob and Lilyana; sister, Susan Pasztor of Fenton; brother, Richard (Jeanette) Groth of Southgate; and nieces and nephews.
