Robert Giza

GIZA, Robert Henry- Age 81, of Flushing, died Sunday September 22, 2019. Funeral services will be held 4PM Sunday, September 29, at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek. Visitation will be held 1PM until time of service on Sunday. In lieu of flowers those desiring may make contributions to the American Cancer Society or the Genesee County Humane Society. Robert was born May 4, 1938 in Detroit, the son of John J. and Angeline (Habdas) Giza. He married Nancy Pattison in Detroit on June 4, 1959. Robert enjoyed hunting, woodworking, painting, and was very mechanically inclined. He could create and fix anything. He was a Tinsmith by trade and retired from the General Motors Truck and Bus plant with 42 years of service. Robert was also a member of UAW local 598. Surviving are: wife of 60 years, Nancy Giza of Flushing; son Robert, Jr (Linda) Giza of Goodrich; daughters, Kris (Dave) Macciomei of Davison, Michelle (Ray Ruddy)Giza of Montrose; grandchildren, Rachel Giza, Andrew Giza, Jeremy (Heather) Hollers, and Rene (Shane) Hager; brother, Richard (Connie) Giza; sisters, Carol Amy and Joan Smith.
