Robert Lee Gilbert

GILBERT, Robert Lee - age 67, passed away at his home in the arms of his loving wife and has gone to be with the Lord on Friday, April 4, 2008 after a courageous battle with cancer. Funeral services will be held 2 PM Tuesday, April 8, 2008 at Bentley Wesleyan Church, 6150 Lapeer Rd., Burton with Pastor Roger P. VanDonkelaar officiating. The family will receive friends from 10 AM Tuesday until the time of the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make memorial contributions to Bentley Wesleyan Church. Bob enjoyed driving semi truck for a living for many years. He also enjoyed through his years being involved in the CB club and he was an avid collector of John Deere memorabilia. He is survived by his loving wife, Sheree, son, Jeff (Heather), daughter, Sherri (Tom), stepson, Chris (Katie), stepdaughter, Charity (Garrett); 11 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; five brothers; two sisters. He also leaves behind many extended family members and friends. He is preceded in death by: his parents; brother; grandson and late wife, Pat. A special thanks to sister-in-law, Sandy for all her help, love and support, Bentley Wesleyan Church for their many prayers and to all of the many family and friends who showed their love in such a difficult time.
