Robert E. FOSTER, Sr.

FOSTER, Robert E., Sr. - age 79, formerly of Flint, died Monday, March 29, 2010. Funeral services will be held 1 PM Saturday, April 3, 2010 at Sharp Funeral Homes, 6063 Fenton Rd., Flint with Robert E. Foster, Jr. officiating. Interment will follow at Flint Memorial Park, Mt. Morris. Visitation will be held 5-9 PM Friday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the family. Mr. Foster was born June 9, 1930 in Pontiac the son of William McKinley and Hazel Marie (Ridgley) Foster. He retired from General Motors Buick Plant 36 after 44 years of service. He was a member of U.A.W. Local 599. Mr. Foster lived in Flint most of his life and moved to Mikado, MI after retirement. He was an avid sportsman. Surviving are: son, Robert E. (Cheryl) Foster, Jr. of Indian River; two grandchildren, Michelle Marie Foster Greenbush and Michael Eugene Foster; four great-grandchildren; nephew, Richard J. (Debbie) Nickerson; two nieces, Kelli (James) Smith and Kim Nickerson. He was preceded in death by: his parents; step-father, William Lindell Stacey; siblings, Clayton Foster, McKinley Foster, Peggy Nickerson, Betty Plamondon, Patricia Iski; daughter-in-law, Kimberley May Foster.
