FOSTER, Robert Lee - age 75, of Bear Lake, MI, formerly of Flint, died Saturday, February 20, 2010 at West Shore Medical Center, Manistee, MI. Services will be held 1 PM Thursday, February 25, 2010 at Grace Lutheran Church, 2526 Corunna Rd., Flint with Pastor Gerald Pundt and Pastor Walter Oelhafen officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Hills Cemetery, Flint. Visitation will be held 6-8 PM Tuesday and 1-8 PM Wednesday at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to Grace Lutheran Church, St. Paul Lutheran Church of Manistee or Carman-Ainsworth Middle School Athletic Department. Mr. Foster was born March 2, 1934 in Flint, the son of Ray and Susie (Garlock) Foster. He married Beverly Brown on August 17, 1957. Mr. Foster retired in 1995 from Carman-Ainsworth Public Schools after 32 years of service at Dye Community Schools and Carman-Ainsworth Junior High School. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving during Korea. Surviving are: wife, Beverly of Bear Lake; son, Richard Foster and wife, Kathleen of Durand; three daughters, Susan and husband, Randy Smith of Durand, Kelley and husband, Gibbon Goulish of Burton, Annette and husband, Rodney Gunsell of Midland; 11 grandchildren, Jennifer, Christopher (Jessica), Erik, Jessica (Matthew), Whitney, Jason, Jeffery, Morgan, Tailor, Jonathan and Luke; siblings, Wayne Foster and wife, Delores of Royal Oak, Ray Foster of Florida, Doris and husband, Delbert Pratt of Swartz Creek, Keith Foster and wife, Charlene of CA; sister-in-law, Connie Brown of Flint; many nieces and nephews.
