Robert Frederick Fischhaber

FISCHHABER, Robert Frederick, age 81, of Swartz Creek, died Thursday, April 17, 2008 at home. Funeral Services will be 11AM Monday, April 21, 2008 at United In Christ Lutheran Church, 6330 Corunna Rd., Flint where the family will receive friends at 10AM until time of service.  Pastor David Daniel officiating. Interment in Attica Township Cemetery. Visitation will be 4-8PM Sunday at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek. Memorial Donations may be made to the United In Christ Lutheran Church. Robert was born July 7, 1926 in Detroit, the son of Adam and Edith (Spiekerman) Fischhaber. He married  Elaine Thomas on September 4, 1948 in Imlay City. Robert was employed by General Motors in the packaging department until his retirement on January 1, 1983, and would enjoy playing cards at the Senior Center in his leisure time. Surviving are his wife of nearky 60 years, Elaine; 4 children, Duane Fischhaber of Swartz Creek, Robert W. Fischhaber  (Carol) of Marion, Indiana, Dennis M. Fischhaber (Cindy) of Chelsea, Debra Webb of Flushing; 11 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; brother, William Fischhaber (Pinky) of Oregon, Ohio; 2 sisters, Barbara Roberts of Pine Island, Florida Marjorie Faurot (Milton) of Punta Gorda, Florida and many more loving family members.
