Robert Joseph Finch

FINCH, Robert J.  Age 66, of Flint Township for most of his life, died Thursday, November 10, 2005 at Hurley Medical Center. Funeral services will be held 3 PM Saturday, November 12, 2005 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek with Pastor Lawrence Gill officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Hills Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-9 PM Friday and from 12 PM until the time of service on Saturday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the family. Bob was born January 21, 1939 in Hammond, IN. He retired in 1988 from GM Metal Fab after 31 years. Bob was an active member of the Mens Auxiliary of the VFW Chevrolet Post 3087 on Corunna Rd. where a dinner will be hosted following the service. Surviving are: two daughters, Rene Darlene Finch, Denise Paula and husband, Joseph Drudi; son, Scott Robert Finch and wife, Joyce; step-daughter, Peggy Smith-Buchanan; sister, Gladys Irene Finch and husband, Scott Cory; four grandchildren, Arthur H. Whitney V and wife, Jennifer, Paul M. Whitney and wife, Melissa, Tara Lynn, Jourdan N. Drudi, Ashley Jean Smith, Brook and Blake; four great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews; special friends at The Valley Pub; very dear friend, Thelma June Gaultney.
