DRAHEIM, Robert Lawrence, age 82, of Flint, passed away Tuesday, May 15, 2012 at Ferguson Convalescent Home. Funeral Services will be 1:00PM Saturday, May 19, 2012 at Sharp Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Rd., Grand Blanc Twp. Pastor Jim S. Garfield officiating. Interment in Flint Memorial Park, Mt. Morris. Visitation will be 4-8PM Friday and 11-1 PM Saturday at the funeral home. Contributions may be made to Higher Ground Christian Ministries. Robert was born May 12, 1930 in Flint the son of the late Herbert and Sylvia (Peterson) Draheim. He married Juanita Tippitt on June 24, 1950 in Flint and she preceded him in death on February 29, 2008. He was a 1948 graduate of Flint Central High School and was employed by Perry Drugs in marketing until his retirement in 1992. Following retirement, Robert lived in Hudson, Florida for 9 years where he was a Deacon for Regency Baptist Church. While living in Flint, he was a member of New Hope General Baptist Church where served in many capacities including, Trustee, Treasurer, Adult Sunday School and Vacation Bible School Teacher, Men's Brotherhood President and Youth Leader. Surviving are his 4 children, Karen (Jeffrey) Barnes, Jennifer (Dennis) Bentoski, Robert Jr., and Kelly Kerperien,; 7 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; brother, Ted Draheim. He was also preceded in death by infant daughter, Melissa; infant granddaughter, J. Lee; brothers, Herbert and Leo Draheim.
