Robert Cook

COOK, Robert Marion- Age 76, of Burton, passed away Tuesday, May 16, 2017. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Friday, May 19, at Sharp Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Road, Flint. Burial will follow in Crestwood Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be held 1-8 PM Thursday. The family will be at the funeral home to receive friends from 5-8 PM Thursday. Robert was born May 26, 1940 in Eden, North Carolina, the son of John Clay and Josephine (Walker) Cook. He enjoyed working on cars, camping fishing, going to car races and playing the guitar. Robert is survived by four siblings, Joe M. Cook and wife Karen of Grand Blanc, Michigan, Betty C. Durham and husband Cephus of Reidsville, North Carolina, Robert H. Shelton and wife Cheryl of Clio, Michigan, Angnes Kay Byars of Flint, Michigan; several nieces and nephews in surrounding area: Flint, Burton, Clio, Fenton, Michigan. Also of Reidsville, N. C., Martiville, VA, Axton, VA . He was preceded in death by his parents; John Clay Cook and Josephine Walker Cook Shelton, a brother; John Clay Cook (Buck) of Burton, MI., sister; Mae Josephine Kalain of Martiville, VA.
