Robert A. 'Bob' CINDRIC

January 16, 1928 — April 12, 2010

CINDRIC, Robert A. "Bob" of Fenton, previously of Flushing, age 82, died Monday, April 12, 2010. Bob was born in Flint, Michigan on January 16, 1928, the son of Anthony and Mary (Kachmer) Cindric. He married the love of his life, Shirley Polk on June 5, 1954, celebrating a storybook marriage for over 45 years. Bob attended General Motors Institute after serving his country as a Marine in China during WWII. He hired in with GM as a supervisor at AC Spark Plug and retired as Executive Director of Parts Operations at GM Parts Division in 1988 with 41 years of service with GM. He served as president of the Flint IMA; president of Flint Chamber of Commerce; and, president of the board of the United Way of Genesee and Lapeer Counties. Bob is survived by: daughters, Suzanne King of Grand Blanc, Kathleen and husband Jim Petriella of Flushing, Christine and husband Pat Furlo of Clarkston; grandchildren, Rob Cindric and Sara Heeg, Megan and Josh (Cindric) Bouverette; Tony and Stacey King; Meridith and Matthew Petriella; Becky and Patrick Furlo; much anticipated great-grandchild Baby Bouverette due in July; brother, George Cindric and sister Margaret Cindric; many fine relatives as well as friends from childhood, hunting, GM, and his lunch groups. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife and best friend, Shirley; best son Stephen Cindric. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, April 15, 2010 at St. John the Evangelist Church, 600 N. Adelaide St. Fenton with Rev. Fr. David Harvey celebrant. Interment will follow at St. John Cemetery. Visitation will be 2 - 8 p.m. Wednesday, April 14 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 W. Silver Lake Rd., Fenton and 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service Thursday at the church. In lieu of flowers, please honor Bobï¿Â½(TM)s memory with a contribution to the American Red Cross or The Food Bank of Eastern Michigan.
