Bob was born on November 21, 1942, in Flint, Michigan, and was lovingly adopted shortly thereafter. He grew up in Flint and attended Grand Blanc High School, where he played as an outfielder on the baseball team.

In 1960, he joined the U.S. Marine Corps, where he was recognized for his rifle skills. After his military service, Bob returned to Michigan and worked at various jobs before beginning a 29 - year career with the U.S. postal Service, retiring in Flint in 2003. Robert married his beloved wife, Linda (Hoyt) Wyzynajtys, in a garden wedding at her son’s house in Owosso in 1991.

A devout Christian, Bob had known and loved Jesus since being saved in 1973. He was an active member of North Baptist Church in Flint, participating in numerous church activities, including ushering, cleaning and athletics.

Bob was an avid fan of the Detroit Tigers and spent many happy hours watching games and playing baseball on his PlayStation. He also enjoyed walking, cycling, gardening, model railroading and traveling. Those who knew Bob will fondly remember his appreciation for good meals, often declaring, "This is the best thing I ever ate!" He was also known for his quick wit, especially his love for puns, rhymes, and wordplay.

Bob is survived by his wife of 33 years, Linda; Linda's children, Todd (Desiree) Wyzynajtys, of Durand and Tami (Brian) Johnson of Grand Blanc; grandsons, David Wyzynajtys, Cody (Stacey) Johnson and Tyler Johnson; sister-in-law, Marla Atwell; three nieces and one nephew; and four great nieces and two great-nephews.
