Robert Bowsher Sr.

BOWSHER, Robert Paul, Sr. - Age 87, of Ft. Myers, FL, formerly of Linden, died July 30, 2014 with his loving wife and children by his side. Services will be held 1 PM Friday, September 12, 2014 at Great Lakes National Cemetery, 4200 Belford Rd., Holly, followed by a celebration at the Linden VFW. Bob was born April 7, 1927 in Pinconning, MI, the son of Charles and Phoebe Bowsher. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving in WWII. Bob and Loreen moved to Linden in 1957 and opened the Linden Restaurant, then later started Linden Realty with Loreen Bowsher and Ken Sharp. He retired from Evans Food Company. Bob was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church and a lifetime member of the Linden VFW. Bob loved the water and took every chance he could to swim, whether it be in a pool, lake or the ocean. When the weather was bad, he would spend time going to garage sales. Bob was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and friend to all. He believed in giving more than you take and his door was always open welcoming all into his home. He is survived by his wife, Natalia "Tolly" (Lamb) Bowsher; children, Paul (Toni) Bowsher of Linden, Greg (Cathy) Bowsher of Mission Viejo, CA, Steve (Johanna) Bowsher of Laguna Niguel, CA, Lori (Jeff) Hendricks of Sanibel Island, FL, Mark (Nancy) Bowsher of Punta Gorda, FL; grandchildren and great-grandchildren; Tolly's five children and nine grandchildren; sister, Joyce (Vance) Rancort and family of Clio.
