Robert Bixby

BIXBY, Robert Earl- Age 76, of Flint, died August 27, 2015. Funeral services will be held 4PM Sunday September 6 at Sharp Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Road, Flint. Visitation will be held 12 PM until time of service on Sunday September 6. Robert was born September 10, 1938 in Flint the son of the late Gail Bixby and Elizabeth (Wright) Bixby. Robert married Minnie Davis in Flint on June 23, 1962, she preceded him in death on February 16, 2013.Robert retired from General Motors Buick Division with 25 years of service. He was a member of UAW Local 599 and enjoyed bicycling, collecting horses, eagles, model cars and Coca Cola items. Surviving are: daughters, Penny (Roger) Martin of Burton, Tracy Bixby; Gaila Bixby; son, Robert Bixby (Cathy) all of Flint. 6 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren; sisters, Barbara Robinson of Burton, Debra (Mark) Clark of Cadillac; brother Todd (Nichole) Bixby; several nieces, nephew, many cousins and best friend Jessie Dickson. Robert will be greatly missed by his friends at Court Street Commons.
