BETTS, Robert Bruce - age 76, of Flint, died Tuesday, March 10, 2009 at Durand Rehabilitation Center. Services will be held 1 PM Friday, March 13, 2009 at Sharp Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Rd., Flint with Pastor Bud Moss officiating. Interment will follow at Flint Memorial Park. Visitation will be held 11-8 PM Thursday at the funeral home. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to Mayfair Bible Church. Mr. Betts was born May 14, 1932 in Flint, the son of Orville and Fannie (Duca) Betts. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving during the Korean War and retired from Flint Metal Center after 35 years of service. Surviving are: four children, Robert (Onalee) Betts of Swartz Creek, Katherine (Gary) Parrish of Flint, Chris Betts of Flint; Brenda (Fred) Grimes of Burton; 11 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; brother, Tim (Audrey) Betts of OH.
