Robert Bates

BATES, Robert "Robb" James- Age 38, of Swartz Creek, died Thursday, February 15, 2018. Arrangements provided by Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek. Robert was born September 6, 1979 in Mineola, New York, the son of James Bates and Robin (Flam) Bates. He married Crystal Marie Welch in Minneola FL, on April 20, 2012. Robb enjoyed playing the guitar, drawing, working on his mustang and especially spending time with his children. He managed Outback Steakhouse in Kissimmee, FL for many years and worked for the Speedway Stations in Swartz Creek and Flint and recently Olive Garden in Flint. Surviving are: wife Crystal Bates of Bancroft; children, Kailynn Bates, Maximus Bates, Emma Welch- Bates, Alexander Bates; mother, Robin Brower; siblings, Melissa (Kevin) Bartolotto, Adam (Brittanya) Brower, Joshua (Melissa) Brower, Matthew Bates, Gloria Remy, Yvonne VanHorn Rohde, James Bates and many nieces and nephews .
