GRIGGS, Rita L. - Age 93, of Flint, died Thursday, January 18, 2007 at Genesys Health Park. Funeral services will be held 11 AM Monday, January 22 at Resurrection Reformed Church, 5225 Calkins Road, Flint. Rev. Case Van Kempen officiating. Interment will follow in Flint Memorial Park, Mt. Morris. Visitation will be held 5-8 PM Saturday and Sunday at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek. Those desiring can make memorial contributions to Resurrection Reformed Church or Salvation Army. She was born October 11, 1913 in Hillman, the daughter of David and Lily (McMillan) Farrier. She was married to Marcus Griggs on June 29, 1931, and he preceded her in death in 1997. Mrs. Griggs volunteered with the Grey Ladies during the 1950's and was a Past Chairman. She was a member of Resurrection Reformed Church. She is survived by her daughter, Avis Casler of Swartz Creek; son-in-law, Bill and wife Mary Yuncker of Grand Rapids; grandchildren, Scott and wife Kathy Casler of Nashville, MI, Corby and husband John Dickson of Seattle, WA, Dana and husband Scott Fraim of Flushing, Lisa and husband Michael Trebtoske of Swartz Creek; 9 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; sister, Merle and husband Richard Blow of Moline, IL; sister-in-law, Ida Farrier; several nieces and nephews; and great nieces and nephews.
