Rita Burene

BURENE, Rita Marie - Age 65, of Grand Blanc, passed away Saturday, November 27, 2021. Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM Saturday, December 4, 2021 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek (A live stream of the service will be available on Rita's obituary page at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com). Visitation will be held at the funeral home Saturday from 12:00 PM until the time of the service. Those desiring may make contributions to the Kidney Foundation or the American Heart Association.

Rita was born October 18, 1956 in Flint. She was a graduate of Davison High School and attended Mott Community College. She had been employed by Holy Rosary Day Care; she retired from the State of Michigan as a Social Worker; and after retirement she had worked for Kohl's part time. Rita enjoyed talking to people and she never met a stranger that didn't become a friend. She also enjoyed volunteering and playing bingo.

Surviving are: her daughters, Christine (Ryan) Rowland of Flint and Carrie (Brett Marietta) Burene of Waterford; her beloved granddaughter, Syerra Burene of Traverse City; mother, Marion Padilla of Burton; siblings, Stosh (Amy) Padilla of Arizona, Rube (Greg) Brown of Flushing, Lisa Padilla of Flint, Manuel (Michele) Padilla of Burton, and Eddie Padilla of Burton; 5 nieces and 8 nephews; 1 grandnephew; many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends
