Richard "Rick" Machala

MACHALA, Richard "Rick" M. - Age 53, of Grand Blanc, died July 15, 2020. A funeral service will be held 11AM Thursday, July 23, 2020 at Sharp Funeral Homes Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek. Visitation will be held 3-8 PM Wednesday and 10-11 AM Thursday at the funeral home. Rick was born on October 31, 1966, the son of Richard C. Machala and Pat (Sedlarik) Gillette, in Flint, MI. Rick spent his life surrounded by cars. He was an auto wholesaler as well as an avid collector of Danbury and Franklin Mint diecast model cars. Rick enjoyed spending time with Julie, Chloe, Zac and the rest of his family. Rick was well-liked by many friends. He is survived by his daughter Chloe, fiancée Julie Parks and stepson Zac; mother and stepfather, Pat (John) Gillette; brother Mike (Lori) Machala; sisters Michelle (Jim) Robinson and Monica Machala. Also surviving are his nieces and nephews; Michael and Dayna, Emily Machala, Becker and Boyd Robinson. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, and father Richard C. Machala.
