WALLNER, Richard Albert - Age 75, of Fenton, passed away April 8, 2022. Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11 AM Tuesday, April 12, 2022 at St. Augustine Catholic Church, 6481 Faussett Rd., Howell. Visitation will be held 3-8 PM Monday at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Rd., Fenton, with a rosary at 7 PM and from 10AM until the time of Mass Tuesday at the church. Burial will be 1 PM Thursday, April 14, 2022 at Great Lakes National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make contributions to Boy Scouts of America or Wounded Warrior Project. Richard was born February 7, 1947 in Detroit, the son of Albert W. and Madeline (Pletzke) Wallner. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in the Vietnam War. Richard married Linda C. Brown on May 7, 1971 in Detroit. He retired from the Federal Reserve in 2004 after 38 years of service. He is survived by his wife, Linda; children, Kimberly (Tom) Backaitis, Tracy (Jim) Shore, Richard (Andrea) Wallner, Jr., Debra (Dan) McGow; grandchildren, Jacob (Kimberlin) Blaine-Wallner, Ryan, Jenna and Adam Backaitis, Hannah and Jason Shore, Devin and Luke Wallner, Victoria, Nathan and Samantha McGow; sister, Linda Koester; brother, Robert (Susan) Wallner.
