THOMPSON, Richard Lee  Age 61, of Lapeer, formerly of Flint, died Friday, March 24, 2006 at University Hospitals in Ann Arbor. Funeral services will be held 1 PM Wednesday, March 29, 2006 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek with Rev. Foster officiating. Interment will follow at Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly. Visitation will be held 4-9 PM Monday and 1-4 and 6-9 PM Tuesday at the funeral home. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to the American Diabetes Association. Mr. Thompson was born March 22, 1945 in Flint, the son of Howard and Viola (Holdorph) Thompson. He retired from the U.S. Army after 20 years of service as a National Guard Training Officer at the 125th Infantry Armory in Flint. He married Deborah Frank on February 14, 1981. Mr. Thompson currently owned and operated Thompsons Services, Inc. in Utica. Surviving are: wife, Deborah; son, Damon Thompson and wife, Kasey of Clio; daughter, Roxanne Thompson; two sisters, Frances and husband, Jack Smith of Clio, Ella and husband, Howard Rockwell of Mt. Morris; two sisters-in-law, Marcia Thompson of Davison, Janet Thompson of Hagerstown, MD; brother-in-law, Marcello Molina of Flint; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by: his parents; six siblings, Howard, Ernest, Kenneth and Lloyd Thompson, Caro Clark and Norma Molina.
