Richard C. Stiles

STILES, Richard C. -- Age 74, of Fennville, MI, formerly of Grand Blanc, passed away Tuesday, April 20, 2004 at his home. Services will be 11 AM Friday, April 23, 2004 at the Sharp Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Rd. (just south of Hill Rd.) Burial will follow at Stiles Cemetery in Lapeer. His family will receive friends at the funeral home from 3-8 PM Thursday, and 10 AM until the time of service Friday. A Masonic Memorial service will be 7 PM Thursday at the funeral home under the auspices of Genesee Lodge # 174  F. & A.M. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to the Shriner's Crippled Childrens Hospital. Mr. Stiles was born February 19, 1929 in Caro, MI, the son of Clarence and Elizabeth (Pappin) Stiles. He married Delores Ann Ives in South Bend, IN in 1952. She preceded him in death in 1998. Mr. Stiles spent 42 years in automotive sales retiring in 1992. He held a private pilots license for many years. He served in the Armed Forces during the occupation of Germany (1952-1954). He was a member of many Masonic bodies; Genesee Lodge # 174 F. & A. M., Bay City Consistory, Elf Khurafeh Shrine Temple A.A.O.N.M.S. of Saginaw, Oasis Shrine Club and Davison Shrine Club. Richard is survived by: his daughter Cindy of Saugatuck; son Richard of Flint; two wonderful grandsons, Sean and Ryan; a special friend Betsey Marsh of Saugatuck. He was preceded in death by his parents and wife, Delores of 46 years.
