Richard Sobota

SOBOTA, Richard J.-- Age 62, of Burton, formerly of Swartz Creek, died May 14, 2018. Cremation has taken place and no services will be held. Arrangements provided by Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek. Richard was born March 8, 1956 in Flint the son of John and Geraldine (Valasek) Sobota. He was a graduate of Swartz Creek High School. Richard was employed as an assembler with G.M. for 29 years and was a UAW Member. He enjoyed fishing. Surviving are: brother, Daniel (Nanette) Sobota; nephew, Jacob Sobota; long time companion, Peggy Partyka. Richard was preceded in death by his parents; and brother Victor Sobota.
