Richard Whitney Rogers

ROGERS, Richard Whitney  Age 59, of Fenton, died Sunday, September 12, 2004 at Genesys Health Park. A celebration of life service will be held at a later date at St. Jude Episcopal Church in Fenton. Mr. Rogers was born November 9, 1944 in Danbury, CT, the son of Carl A.W. and Annabelle L. (Taylor) Rogers. He married Sharon Chichester on December 5, 1964 in Leaksville, NC. Mr. Rogers was a 1966 graduate of West Virginia Wesleyan College where he earned a bachelors degree. He was a member of the Marriage Encounter of Genesee County and St. Jude Episcopal Church, where he was past treasurer. Mr. Rogers was an avid golfer at Tyrone Hills where he and his son had won the father and son tournaments. Surviving are: wife, Sharon of Fenton; son, Whitney Michael Rogers and wife, Nancy of Reidsville, NC; daughter, Amanda Lorraine and husband, Gerald Ross of Rudyard, MI; four grandchildren, Robert, William and Michael Rogers, Aubra Ross.
