Richard Morris Robins

June 18, 1917 — December 12, 2006

ROBINS, Richard Morris - age 89, of Linden, died Tuesday, December 12, 2006 at Genesys Health Park. Funeral services will be held 11 AM Thursday, December 14, 2006 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Linden Chapel, 209 E. Broad St., Linden with Rev. Parker Smith officiating. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery, Linden. Visitation will be held 2-4 and 6-8 PM Wednesday at the funeral home. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to the Linden Presbyterian Church. Mr. Robins was born June 18, 1917 in Swartz Creek. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving during World War II in the military police. Mr. Robins was the founder of and operated Linden Sash and Door for over 40 years. He was a member of the Linden Presbyterian Church, Linden Kiwanis Club and the Lake Fenton Sportsman Club where he was past president. Surviving are: wife, Ella 'Sally' of Linden; son, Thomas Robins and wife, Judy of Linden; daughter, Shirley and husband, Robert Holtslander of Luzerne; six grandchildren, Randall, Charles, Michelle, Lance, James and Robert; 14 great-grandchildren; brother, Armand Robins of Swartz Creek; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by: his first wife, Katherine in 1988; grandson, Richard Cooney; sister, Dale Passmore. Friends may share an online condolence or post at tribute at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com
