ROBERTS, Richard H. "Rich" -- Age 75, of Fenton, died July 7, 2012 at his residence. Private interment in Oakwood Cemetery, Fenton. A Gathering for Family and Friends will be 1-6 PM Friday, July 20 at the Fraternal Order of the Eagles, 1490 N. Leroy St., Fenton. Those desiring may make contributions to the Richard Roberts Memorial Fund. Richard was born July 19, 1936 in Lansing the son of Howard Charles and Estella Irene (Lockwood) Roberts. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. He was a baker and a chef at several restaurants, and had owned and operated the Hub in Linden. He had worked for Linden Realty, and then for himself in the Real Estate business. Surviving are: five children, Deborah(Rod) Mead, Christina (Terry) Nichols, all of Constantine, MI, Anna (Fred) Hawkins of Durand, Steven (Angela) Hill of Rankin, Howard Roberts of Fenton; 15 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; brother Ronald Roberts of Fenton; numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his son Richard Jr.; sister Sharon Summers; two great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
