Richard Lee Polmanteer

August 17, 1930 — May 9, 2005

Polmanteer, Richard Lee- Age 74, of Grand Blanc, died Monday, May 9, 2995 at Genesys Hospice Care Center, Goodrich.  Funeral services will be held 4 PM Friday, May 13, 2005 at Sharp Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Road, Flint.  Pastor Michael L. Haines officiating.  Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 3-5 and 7-9 PM Thursday and 2 PM until time of service Friday.  In Lieu of flowers those desiring may make contributions to Genesys Hospice Care Center, Goodrich.  Mr. Polmanteer was born August 17, 1930 in Cadillac the son of Jessiah Lee and Beatrice (Orvis) Polmanteer.  He served in the U.S. Army and married Sharon June Lakey March 18, 1967 in Swartz Creek.  He retired in 1999 from GM Metal Fab. With 44 ï¿Â½,« years of service.  He enjoyed bingo, casinos and rock polishing.  Surviving are: wife, Sharon; son, David and wife Kim Polmanteer of Burton; daughter, Pam and husband Steve Lopez of Grand Blanc; 3 grandchildren, Logan and Zackary Lopez and Jayson Polmanteer; 2 sisters, Beverly and husband Frank Fones of Galesberg, IL, Elaine Tallman of Manton; brother, Jesse Dale and wife Betty Polmanteer of Lake Panasosskee, FL; many nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents and special grandmother, Sarah Brown, who raised him when his mother died
