Richard D. Phillips

Phillips, Richard D. - age 65, of Swartz Creek, passed away November 27, 2023. Funeral services will be held 12 PM Tuesday, December 5, 2023 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek, MI 48473 with Fr. Jay Gantz officiating. Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Grand Blanc. Visitation will be held from 11 AM - 12 PM Tuesday, December 5, 2023. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Humane Society of Genesee County or the Genesee County Animal Shelter. Richard was born September 8, 1958 in Flint, the son of Roy D. and Ruby A. (Lockhart) Phillips. He retired from General Motors. Richard was an avid Chicago White Sox, Bears and Black Hawks fan, as well as Michigan State University sports. He also enjoyed golfing. Surviving are: father, Roy D. Phillips, Sr.; four siblings, Roy (Katie) Phillips Jr., Lloyd (Cynthia) Phillips, Thomas (Dawn) Phillips, and Jennifer Phillips. Richard also loved spending time with his many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother, Ruby A. Phillips on February 7, 2022. Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com
