PERRY, Richard L. - Age 85, of Swartz Creek, died May 7, 2016. Funeral services will be held 10 AM Thursday, May 12, 2016 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek. Burial will follow in Great Lakes National Cemetery. Visitation will be held 2-4 & 6-8 PM Wednesday. Those desiring may make contributions to Genesee County 4-H. Richard was born September 17, 1930 in Flint, the son of Stanley F. and Nora E. (Wagner) Perry and was a 1948 graduate of Grand Blanc High School. Mr. Perry was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corp, serving in the Korean War and was a member of VFW Post #3243. He retired from General Motors in 1992 and enjoyed restoring antique John Deere Tractors. He is survived by his wife, Nancy; children, Heidi (Mike) McCort and Todd Perry; brother, Stanley Perry; sister, Roberta (Dewey) Corlew. He was preceded in death by his parents and son, Chris.
