Richard James Pearce

Pearce, Richard James - Age 82, of Flint Township, died October 26, 2024. Funeral services will be held 11 AM Saturday, November 2, 2024 at Sharp Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Rd., Grand Blanc. Interment in New Calvary Catholic Cemetery, Flint. Visitation will be held 5-8 PM Friday, November 1, 2024; and 10 AM until the funeral at 11 AM on Saturday November 2. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make contributions to the American Red Cross (www.redcross.org or checks payable to the American Red Cross.)

 Richard was born November 29, 1941 in Flint, the son of Thomas J. and May Nora (Lager) Pearce. He graduated from Flint Central High School in 1959. Richard served in The United States Army Medical Corps from October 1959 to October 1962. He married Christina Hoffman on December 28, 1963, she preceded him in death September 26, 2003. Richard worked for General Motors before retiring in 1993. He enjoyed all sports, watching and playing, especially golf. Richard was always proud of his wife, sons, and grandsons. He hopes his family will always love and take care of each other. Richard is survived by his sons, John Pearce, Mike Pearce; grandchildren, Michael. Jr. and Ryan; nieces and nephews; and special friends, Jim and Donna. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife Christina; and brother, Thomas.
