MOSER, Richard Clay - Age 75, of Fenton, died Wednesday, March 31, 2021. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, April 3, 2021 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Road, Fenton ( A live stream of the service may be viewed on Richard's obituary page at www.sharpfunralhomes.com)). Visitation will be held at the funeral home Friday from 3-8 PM and Saturday from 10 AM until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make contributions to the family in honor of veterans.
Richard was born September 16, 1945 in Jackson, the son of Henry Clay and Catherine (Harbec) Moser. He was a 1964 graduate of Berkley High School and received a Associates Degree in Business Administration from Oakland University. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War serving in the U.S. Navy. Richard married Suzanne Lee Carter August 12, 1966 in Royal Oak. He retired from the U.S. Navy; and then retired from Ingersoll-Rand. He had resided in Fenton since 1997 coming from Chesterfield Township. Richard was a member of the American Legion Post #0413 and a Life Member of the D.A.V. Chapter #44. He was the Director of Aerospace Education at Selfridge Air Force Base and taught Civil Air Patrol for the State of Michigan. He enjoyed boating, camping, carpentry work and most of all spending time with his family.
Surviving are: his wife, Suzanne; son, Brian and wife Elizabeth Moser of Fenton; daughter, Renee Moser of Fenton; grandchildren, Alec and Paige Moser of Fenton. He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Catherine Moser. Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com.
