MOORE, Richard "Rick" James - Age 64, of Gaines, died Tuesday June 18, 2019. Funeral services will be held 1PM Monday June 24, at Sharp Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Road, Flint. Pastor Jim Nelson officiating. Burial will be held at Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly at a later date . Visitation will be held 11AM until time of service. Those desiring may make contributions to Great Lakes National Cemetery, 4200 Belford Road, Holly. Rick was born January 6, 1955 in Flint, the son of the late Glen G. and Jackelyn L. (Odykirk) Moore. He married LuAnn Burge in Grand Blanc on August 17, 1974. Rick proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War. He retired from the United States Postal Service with 25 years of service. Surviving are: wife of 44 years LuAnn of Gaines; daughters, Sara (Kevin) Holleboom of Swartz Creek, Lindsay Moore of Gaines; grandchildren, Carson and Bristol Holleboom and Remington Moore; father-in-law, Gerald Burge of Flushing. Rick is also survived by his brother's, John Moore of Swartz Creek, Michael (Mary Ann) Moore of Tennessee and many extended family members. He was also preceded in death by his sister Clarissa Moore, mother-in-law, Esther Burge, brothers-in-law, Reno Ybarra and Lon Bradley and nephew Jason Amy.
