LAMECK, Richard Eugene - Age 82, of Fenton, died Wednesday, June 15, 2005 at Fenton Extended Care. Funeral mass will be celebrated 11AM Monday, June 20, 2005 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 600 N. Adelaide St., Fenton, Fr. David Harvey celebrant. Military Honors will be performed under the auspices of Fenton V.F.W. Curtis Wolverton Post #3243. Burial in Holy Sepulchre Catholic Cemetery in Southfield. Visitation will be at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Rd., Fenton from 2-4 and 6-9PM Sunday, where a vigil service will be held at 4PM and at church from 10AM until time of service Monday. Those desiring may make contributions to the St. John G.I.F.T Campaign. Richard was born April 29, 1923 in Detroit, the son of Henry J. and Marie (Jeleniecka) Lameck (and step-father, Ernest Govan). He was a graduate of Pershing High School in Detroit and was a veteran of WWII, serving in the U. S. Army Air Corp. He married Sally Louise Andrews January 20, 1945 in Greensboro, NC. He retired from the Electrical Worker Local #58 in 1981 after 25 years of service. He had resided in Fenton since 2003, coming from Boynton Beach, FL, West Bloomfield and Detroit. He was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, American Legion, Chief Pontiac Post #377, Pontiac. Surviving are: wife, Sally; 3 children, Sondra L. and husband Frederick Tryles of Fenton, Richard E. Lameck, Jr. of Leesburg, FL, Judy A. and husband Gerald Hesse of Waterford; 3 grandchildren, Patricia and husband Chris Lee, Jeannie and husband Ron Skank, Daniel and wife Darci Tryles; 6 great-grandchildren, Haylee Skank, Gracie Lee, Zeke Tryles Madison Tryles, Isabella Lee, Cooper Tryles; sister, Wanda and husband Jack Zang of Westland; 2 step-sisters, Mary Jane and husband Frank Korczky and Ann and husband Bob Maskrey of Orchard Lake; step-brother, Richard and wife Patricia Govan of Stewart, FL; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; step-father, Ernest Govan; brother, Edwin Lameck.
