Richard Fisher

Richard L Fisher, 95, long time resident of Fenton, Michigan, passed away on June 1st, 2020.  Private services will be held with burial in Crestwood Cemetery. Public visitation will be 5-8 PM Thursday, June 4, 2020 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Rd., Fenton.  Those desiring may make contributions to the Richard Fisher Celebration of Life, 13268 30th Ave., Remus, MI 49340 or to Portland Federal Credit Union.

Richard was born in Alvinston, Ontario, Canada the son of Russell A. and Minnie Lulu (Mills) Fisher. He was the owner of Fisher Brother Moving. Richard never met a stranger and moved just about everyone in Fenton at least once, if not two or three times.

He is survived by the love of his life for over 30 years, Dorma Townsend; his sister, Audrey Koschmider; children, Sheri Reece, Randy Fisher (Wanda Morgan), Scott Fisher, Kim (Gerald) Valentine, Richard (Melinda) Fisher II, Scott (Michelle) Townsend, Sheila (Steve) Wolfington, Cindy Harden, Keith Hutchins, Marla Marrs, Mina Ashley and Nancy Conrad; many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren, along with the rest of his extensive family.

He is preceded in death by one daughter, Linda Sue Powers (husband Lee Jack Powers who remains and is still a son in our family); two brothers, Walter and Russell Fisher; two sisters, Katie Theisen and Alice Ann (Fisher) Morrison.

Many that knew him will remember his quick smile and that no one in town was a stranger for long. Richard was well known for his positive outlook on life. He loved the outdoors and archery. He will be loved and missed by all who knew him.
