KRYZA, Richard John - age 59, of Chesaning, formerly of Fenton, passed away November 25, 2009. Funeral services will be held 11 AM Monday, November 30, 2009 at First Presbyterian Church of Fenton, 503 S. LeRoy St., Fenton with Pastor Dale Swihart officiating. Interment will be held 1 PM Monday at Great Lakes National Cemetery. Visitation will be held 7-9 PM Saturday and 2-4 and 7-9 PM Sunday at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Rd., Fenton and from 10 AM until the time of service Monday at the church. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to the Richard John Kryza Memorial Fund to be given to charity. Richard was born November 25, 1950 in Durand, the son of Joseph W. and Marion (Byres) Kryza. Richard was a 1968 graduate of Fenton High School and a graduate of the University of Michigan - Flint. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in Vietnam. He married Yvonne Joslin on July 26, 1986. Richard loved his country and his fellow veterans. For 23 years Richard supported fellow veterans as the Veterans' Coordinator, Department of Energy, Labor and Economic Growth for the State of Michigan. He was a life member of the V.F.W, a member of American Legion Post 212, and the Disabled Veterans of America. Richard was very active in many veterans organizations helping veterans during and after active duty. His heart was generous and loving and his family was his greatest joy. Surviving are: wife, Yvonne; son, Trevor Neal; mother, Marion Kryza; brother, Michael and wife, Phyllis of Flushing; sister, Kathleen Kryza and husband, Roger Pothus of Ann Arbor; brother, Joseph and wife, Nora of Fenton; brother-in-law, Robert Joslin; nephews, John (Heather), Kristopher (Crystal), Andrew, Joseph, Maxwell, and James Kryza, Rob (Becky), Jason (Tracey) and Joshua Joslin; nieces, Jennifer (Rick) Koester and Nina Kryza; grand nephews, Kenneth and Elan Kryza; grand nieces, Annie and Ellie Koester; uncle, Norman Byres of Aberdeen, Scotland; many dear cousins.
