Richard "Dick" Hicks

HICKS, Richard Homer "Dick" - Age 75, of Flushing, went to be with the Lord, Friday, January 25, 2008. Funeral Services will be held 2:00 PM Tuesday, January 29, 2008 at Mayfair Bible Church, 5339 W. Pierson Road, Flint. Pastor Dean Stewart officiating. Burial immediately following at Sunset Hills Cemetery, Flint. Visitation will be held at the church Tuesday from 12:00PM until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make contributions to the Alzheimer's Association. Mr. Hicks was born October 29, 1932 in Pontiac, the son of Homer L. and Emma (Arthur) Hicks. He married Margaret Riley December 2, 1981 in Flint. He was a life resident of the Flint area. He owned and operated Flint Plating and Tru-Coat, Inc. for over fifty years. He attended Mayfair Bible Church. Surviving are: wife, Margaret; 5 children from a previous marriage, Linda and husband Robert Chase of Flushing, Richard E. Hicks of Corunna, Suzanne Zayac of Lake City, Gary Hicks of Pullman, Karen Hicks of Mt. Morris; step daughter, Judy Shanks of Montrose; step son Phillip and wife, Carolyn Scheitler of Elyria, OH; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; sister, Joan and husband Curt Collier of Florida; brother, David and wife Marcia Hicks of Florida; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Donald Hicks. Richard for the past seven months resided at Holly Convalescent Center, Holly. Richard's family would like to thank the staff for the loving care and kindness extended to them and Richard. He was greatly loved and will be forever missed.
