Richard Dennis Hetherington

Richard Dennis Hetherington, age 75, of Fort Worth, Texas, passed away on Saturday, March 22, 2025. A funeral service will take place 12:00 PM, Sunday, March 30, 2025, with military funeral honors at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek. Visitation will take place from 10:00 AM until the time of service on Sunday. 

Richard was born on October 29, 1949 in Flint, Michigan to the late Albert and Irene (Couture) Hetherington. He worked as a Quality Control Engineer for many years before his retirement. Richard and Patricia Askew were united in marriage on October 6, 1979 in Burton, Michigan. He proudly served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War in combat be for his honorable discharge. Richard was a well respected man of God. 

He is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Patrica; and her two sons, Brian and Steve Hetherington. In addition to his parents, Richard was preceded in death by his brother, James Hetherington. Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com
