HENDERSON, Richard Eugene "Gene" - age 80, of Fenton, died Friday, May 13, 2011 at Genesys Health Park. Services will be held 11 AM Monday, May 16, 2011 at Tyrone Covenant Presbyterian Church, 10235 White Lake Rd., Fenton with Pastor James Mascow officiating. Entombment will follow at Tyrone Memory Gardens mausoleum. Visitation will be held 2-4 and 6-8 PM Sunday at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 W. Silver Lake Rd., Fenton. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to the American Diabetes Association or Tyrone Covenant Presbyterian Church. Gene was born October 16, 1930 in Lebanon, OH, the son of Roy and Helen (Settlemire) Henderson. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy serving during the Korean War. Gene married Anita Beverly Warner in Kearny, NJ on June 18, 1955. He retired from National Waterlift as a Contract Administer. Gene was a member of Tyrone Covenant Presbyterian Church, a life member of the VFW, and a member of the Masons, Shriners and the Lions Club. Surviving are: wife, Beverly; three sons, Dale (Lynn) Henderson of Boyne City, Gary (Darlene) Henderson of Fenton, Roy Henderson of Flint; grandchildren, Cristina (Dan) Denby and Timothy Henderson; great-grandchildren, Jacqueline and Melody Denby, Alydia Cotton and Brayden Henderson; brother, Roy Henderson of South Bend, IN.
