Richard Leo GUINDON

GUINDON, Richard Leo -- Age 80, of Swartz Creek, died January 13, 2010. Funeral services will be 10 AM Monday, January 18 at the Swartz Creek United Methodist Church, 7400 Miller Road, Swartz Creek, Pastor J.D. Landis officiating. Interment in Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly. Visitation will be 6-8 PM Saturday, 1-4 and 6-8 PM Sunday at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek. Memorial contributions may be made to the Swartz Creek United Methodist Church. Mr. Guindon was born June 10, 1929 in Bay City the son of Leo and Pearl (Douglas) Guindon. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. He married Margot Thurau on June 19, 1954 in Bay City. Mr. Guindon retired from General Motors in 1992. He attended Swartz Creek United Methodist Church. He was an avid ice fisherman and hunter. He enjoyed music, dancing, sports and his family. Surviving are: wife Margot; daughter Michele Guindon of St. Petersburg, FL; son Mark and wife Lynn Guindon of Indianapolis, IN; and granddaughter, Margaret Ann.
