Richard Ex

EX, Richard Clarence- Age 65, of Durand, died Friday August 7, 2020. A graveside service will be held 1:30PM Thursday August 13 at Crestwood Cemetery, 2020 Hill Road, Grand Blanc. Visitation will be held 11AM-1PM Thursday at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek. In lieu of flowers those desiring may make contributions to the family c/o Sharp Funeral Homes. Richard was born July 28, 1955 in Goodrich, Michigan, the son of Clarence William and Dorothy Geneva (Parish) Ex. He married Doreen Gwinn in Mt. Morris on April 1, 2000. Richard loved music, he wrote songs ,sang and enjoyed playing his guitar. He was self-employed as a drywall and painter for 40 plus years. Richard enjoyed fishing, camping and hunting. Surviving are: wife of 20 years, Doreen Ex of Durand; children, Michell Ex of Grand Blanc, Laura Gwinn of Ypsilanti, Rebecca (Gary) Carabell of Lennon, Jon (Christina) Jones of Durand; many grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. He was also survived by his sister Marcia Ex of Otisville; nephew Dennis McMullen of Traverse City; great Niece, Savannah Kotowicz of Burton and many cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, Dorothy and Clarence Ex; daughter's, Rachell Ex and Sarah Gwinn, and niece, Lisa Sutherby.
