BURCH, Richard James - Age 84, of Fenton, died Monday, December 27, 2010. Funeral services will be held 12:00 PM Thursday, December 30, 2010 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Road, Fenton. Burial in Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly. Visitation will at the funeral home Thursday from 10:00 AM until time of service. Mr. Burch was born February 12, 1926 in Lapeer, the son of Roderick and Helen (Alcock) Burch. He was a veteran of WWII serving in the U.S. Navy. He married Dorothy Jenkins May 29, 1967 and she preceded him in death June 26, 1991. Mr. Burch retired from General Motors Chevrolet. He was a member of the V.F.W. Curtis-Wolverton Post #3243. Surviving are: 2 children, Larry Burch and Patsy Kessell of Burton and Linda Conrad of Owosso; 4 grandchildren, Jennifer and husband Tom Moon of Chesterfield, VA, Melissa and husband Shawn Dykema of Grand Rapids, Scott and wife Rita Burch of Mt. Morris and Jason and wife Shauna Conrad of Owosso; 5 great grandchildren, Rachael, Kayla, McKenzie, Bronson and Alaina. He was also preceded in death by his parents and sister, Beverly.
